Oregon Trail Interpretive Park at the Blue Mountain Crossing, Season Opening
Experience the Oregon Trail up close. Walk the actual trail, see the wagon ruts, and let the many informational panels take you back to the days of covered wagons and a simpler time. Stand still amid the tall trees, and you can almost hear the wagons creaking along the trail. Paved areas, wheelchair accessible.

Blue Mountain Humane Society Benefit Polo Tournament
The polo events begin at 5 PM on Friday and 9 AM both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is a bag of dog food, cat food or cat litter or $10. Sponsors and vendors are welcome and should contact Christy. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Association. Celebrities from Union County will join us at noon for a two chukka celebrity tournament. This fun-packed weekend has something for everyone. Cove Camp Dutch Oven Cook-off!
We are paying tribute to the Veteran's! This competition is for everyone, experience is not required. So if you have never cooked with a Dutch Oven before, have done some camp cooking or are a seasoned Dutch Oven cook, all are welcome. Remember, this is primarily a fun event. So if you are even just a little interested and think this may be fun, sign up and we'll see you at the cook-off! Competitors will be asked to cook a main dish, a dessert, and a bread. If you wish to cook only 1 or 2 items you will not be eligible for the main judging, but will be eligible for the People's Choice Award. Announcement of the winners will be at 5:30 p.m. First place will be awarded $150.00, second place $100.00 and third place $50.00 There will be a Cook-off tasting & voting, live music, BBQ, miniature golf, wood fish derby, butter churning, homemade ice cream and a kids pie eating contest. Learn the basics of Dutch Oven cooking, bring your own oven and bake up a batch of biscuits! Your donation is appreciated and proceeds support Cove Camp. Veteran's Day Parade
The parade entrants will meet up at Hemlock Street and Adams Avenue, and the parade will proceed west on Adams ending at 4th Street and Washington Avenue. The parade will be led by the High Valley VFW. The Grand Marshal and Marshellette are yet to be announced. Immediately following the end of the parade will be a Spaghetti Feed at the American Legion Hall located at 301 Fir at the corner of Jefferson. The spaghetti feed is free to American Legion members and $3.50 for the public.

This event helps kids shop from 9 a.m. to noon for Holiday gifts for friends and family members. Then from Noon to 2 p.m. the general public can shop. Donations for under-privileged kids are welcome.
